Livin In LaVerkin
We moved to LaVerkin in December. What a great neighborhood and great people - we are very happy here. Perry is working in AZ and may be going to TX soon. We are wondering when construction is going to come back to Southern Utah! The girls are all on swim team this year - they will be in 9th, 10th & 11th grades this coming school year - wow. Anthony is in Salt Lake and has a beautiful girl friend named Brooke.

Longhurst Family Blog
This is our first family blog - We live in Ivins Ut, how did we get here? Well, we (Perry and Kathy) met and married in Rocklin California and within a month we were both laid off our jobs and moved to Arizona for 8 years before coming to Southern Utah in March of 2000. We have lived in St George, Hurricane, Leeds and now Ivins since we've been here in Southern Utah.
We survived through the economy boom and crash here but Perry is now out of construction and is working in Colorado every other week on a natural gas rig. Kathy is babysitting and breeding Savannah cats for extra money and is also selling body butters door to door or should I say Naomi is selling them door to door (Kathy makes them).
Anthony (24) is working at Este Pizza in Salt Lake City sugarhouse area nowliving with his girlfriend and we see him from time to time, usually when he comes down south to go camping! Hey Anthony!
Rachel (15) and Naomi (14) are going to Tuacahn high school, it's a performing arts high school and they love it. It's only about 4 miles from our house. Besides the regular math, history, science, etc they have several different choir classes to choose from, musical theatre classes and many dance classes as well as instumental classes.
Kiara (13) is going to Snow Canyon middle school and hasn't decided if she wants to go to Tuacahn next year or not.
We also have 2 foreign exchange students living with us for the school year, Soran (15) is from South Korea and Paula (17) is from Brazil - we are having a great year!
